Fr. Ismaël Matambura, SJ is widely known throughout the Conference, and having been serving at the JCAM Headquarters in Nairobi Kenya, he is already deeply familiar with the JCAM Secretariat's mission, structures, and procedures. More recently, he has served as Director of the African Jesuit AIDS Network (AJAN), carrying out his responsibilities in the mission with generosity, openness, and dedication. His collaborative spirit, strong interpersonal skills, and deep knowledge of the Conference make him well-suited for this important mission.
We warmly congratulate Fr. Matambura and assure him of our prayers as he begins this new ministry.
At the same time, we express our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. John the Baptist Zamcho, SJ, who concludes his service as Socius after many years of faithful dedication. He has served the Conference with exemplary selflessness, outstanding competence, and remarkable foresight. His wise counsel and generous commitment have been invaluable to the President, the Major Superiors, and the JCAM Secretariat.
As he returns to his Province, we sincerely thank him for his distinguished service and wish him a well-deserved rest and every blessing in his future ministry.
We invite all Jesuits, collaborators, and friends of JCAM to keep both Fr. Matambura and Fr. Zamcho in their prayers during this time of transition and to ask the Lord to bless them abundantly in their respective missions.
Fraternally in the Lord's mission.
