WEBINAR: Thursday 27 January 2022, 2pm / 14h EAT

“Listening is the first step, but it requires having an open mind and heart, without prejudices. To whom does our particular Church “need to listen to”? How are the Laity, especially young people and women, listened to?” - Preparatory Document, 30 (ii)

The African Synodality Initiative invites you to a Zoom webinar on synodality and the youth. Young people desire to be active participants in the Church, and to enrich its mission with their passion, energy and creativity. Following the 2018 Synod of Bishops on Young People, Pope Francis established an International Youth Advisory Body to strengthen the involvement of young people in the life of the Church. During the ongoing consultative synodal phase, dioceses have been encouraged to involve young people in this process and to genuinely listen to their ideas, concerns and dreams. In this webinar, we invite you to listen to some African youth as they share their lived experiences of synodality.

Join us in this synodal conversation with our panellists: Agathe Sagne, Benson Makusha, Dominique Yon and Prisca Koffi.
