Major Superiors of Africa and Madagascar arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, last weekend for the JCAM Formation Assembly. Their first stop was the newly built Africama House, the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar (JCAM) headquarters at the heart of Karen, in Nairobi.
Together with members of the Planning Team of the Formation Assembly, the major superiors participated in a thanksgiving liturgy (“Te Deum”) to give gratitude to God for the generosity of benefactors, partners and donors who made possible the construction of the new Africama House. The facility has many eco-friendly features and will serve as offices and guest house for JCAM.
The major superiors will join several Jesuits and lay collaborators for the Formation Assembly which begins on Monday, 9 December and ends on Friday, 13 December, 2019. JCAM welcomes all participants to this event and requests prayers during these important deliberations on formation.
